Better Food. Better Future.Overview:Responsible for supervising the vendors/staff that ensure that the building and grounds are operating efficiently. Ensures that the facility is maintained at a high level, snow removal is performed in a timely manner when needed, and cleanliness and safety standards are upheld. May maintain departmental records, logs, and files, and answer and direct telephone calls and questions.Essential Functions and Duties:Responsible for effective communication, coordination, and working relationships with external clients, customers, contractors, and officialsResponsible for the efficient, timely, and accurate completion of facility maintenance functionsInitiates and negotiates bids with contractorsMonitor s utilization of equipment, facilities, and personnelMonitors all engineering operations for compliance with established safety policies and regulationsTrains, advises and counsels employees and provides suggestions to improve performance and productivityConducts performance appraisals as assignedResponsible for maintaining effective communication, coordination, and working relationships with Company personnel and managementWorks closely with other departments to maintain schedules and implement changes and revisions in operational proceduresAssists in OSHA reviews as requestedPerform duties in accordance with Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) and Safe Quality Food (SQF) policies and procedures, as appropriate for locationMay maintain budgets and future estimates for individual projectsEducation and Required Knowledge:Associate degree preferred or equivalent experienceKnowledge of related computer applicationsExcellent understanding of facility management proceduresKnowledge of budgeting, service contracts, and leasing agreementsExperience and Skills:One to three years of related experience preferredAble to organize, coordinate, and direct team activitiesStrong problem-solving skillsGood communication skillsAbility to use Microsoft Office Applications: Word and ExcelGood math skillsAble to use all related maintenance equipmentAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, disability, or protected veteran status.
