The qualified and success Junior Civil Engineer will possess the following background, skills, and experience: 1. Bachelors or Masters degree in Civil Engineering or closely related field (Required) 2. Must have a minimum of at least one (1) year of civil engineering industry work or internship experience preferable pertaining to civil land development projects (Required) 3. EIT certification is preferred 4. Must be computer savvy " Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D software (Strongly preferred) 5. Must be able to demonstrate strong interest or past work experience in civil land development engineering projects such as single family residential and multifamily residential; commercial, office, government and/or public works projects. 6. Candidates local to the Sacramento, Folsom, and Fresno California areas will receive priority hiring consideration. But we are also open to applicants that are ready and willing to relocate to any of the above listed locations. 7. Candidates must be eligible to work in the U.S. without employee sponsorship and/or Visa transfer. Must have US citizenship or Green Card. Junior Civil Engineer overall role and responsibilities: Civil Engineer must be able to utilize AUTOCAD 3D and provide civil engineering land development plans, specifications, and estimates for a variety of civil land development projects such as residential, commercial, and industrial site development projects. (Start to Finish) Coordinate civil land development project submittals with agencies Prepare civil land development preliminary and final Engineers Estimates Complete civil land development earthwork analysis to determine cut/fill requirements Water Modeling / Fire flow analysis Provide direction to Assistant Civil Engineers and support to Civil Engineer Project Managers ABOUT OUR FIRM: Our 50 person privately held civil engineering office has been providing civil engineering land development, land planning, and land surveying services for private sector for commercial, office, industrial, institutional, and residential development projects, and to the public sector roads, public works, schools, parks and assessment districts for over 35 years.
