Truck Engines. THIS POSITION IS LOCATED IN STOCKTON.POSITION
SUMMARY This is an Industrial Engine Technician position with an
emphasis on individuals who possess Caterpillar gas and/or diesel
engine and aftertreatment expertise or persons who have knowledge
on other manufacturers of diesel and gas engines. QUALIFICATIONS
AND REQUIREMENTS The requirements listed below are representative

to perform the essential functions. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains CAT engines in varied
applications within the Energy and Transportation industry,
including chippers, grinders, marine, gas compression, nut harvest
equipment, and electric generators. Performs field or shop service,
repairs, and installation of customers' equipment. Operate Company
service vehicle and applicable equipment to include lift trucks.
Troubleshoot and diagnose customer complaints to determine the most
effective or efficient repair using assigned test equipment,
Caterpillar fuel setting group, electronic volt-ohm meter, and
trade tools. Emphasis on engine electronics and aftertreatment
troubleshooting. Performs Start-ups, modifications, testing and
minor engine repairs to industrial engines. Perform routine engine
maintenance and inspection according to manufacturer's guidelines,
including removal, replacement, or adjustment of engine components
such as valvetrain components, cooling and lubrication systems
components, fuel systems, engine bearings, seals and gaskets.
Perform major engine or component overhauls including remove and
replace cylinder head, cylinder packs, fuel systems, and governors.
Responsible for completion of service reports and work orders.
Field and Shop positions available. Other duties may be assigned.

EXPERIENCE High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
and/or five years related experience. Knowledge of the following
product areas: Caterpillar Engine Electronics and Caterpillar
C2.2-C32 engines and/or large bore 3500-3600 Engines. Electric
Power Generation background is a plus but not necessary. Positions
for all skill levels from Apprentice to Field Service Journeyman
available. Factory training programs and career long continued
training provided. SKILLS Ability to read and interpret documents
such as operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals,
safety manuals and Employee Handbook. Ability to write routine
reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before
managers or employees of organization. Ability to add, subtract,
multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers,
common fractions, and decimals. Ability to apply common sense
understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral,
or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several
concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to read
electrical schematics and one-line diagrams. Ability to apply ohm's
law and understand basic electrical formulae. Rudimentary knowledge
of motor controls, circuits, and distribution. CERTIFICATES,
LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Must have a valid driver license and a

COMPENSATIONHourly rate of pay as negotiated with Operating
