Reports To:Maintenance ManagerDepartment:MaintenanceLocationStockton, CASupervises:N/AClassificationNon-Exempt Purpose: To provide industrial maintenance to the facility and all process equipment to ensure continued ethanol production. Environment: Pacific Ethanol is the leading producer and marketer of low-carbon renewable fuels in the western United States. With the addition of four Midwestern ethanol plants in July of 2015, we have expanded our operations and sales footprint, more than doubling our scale, entering new markets, and expanding our mission to become the industry leader in the production and marketing of low-carbon renewable fuels. The following is a list of major duties and responsibilities for this position along with certain supportive duties. It is not all-inclusive. Other duties and responsibilities may be added as needed and in addition; and, management may modify this job description as needed. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Analyzes mechanical, electrical and operational problems on plant equipment and plans for and takes preventative and/or corrective action. Makes preventive maintenance checks and inspections of assigned equipment, reports findings to supervisor and takes appropriate action. Willingness to learn the production process to help support operational needs. Must be able to work shift as business needs dictate. Others duties as assigned. Education/Experience High School diploma or equivalent required. 2 to 4 years trade school beneficial and will be considered towards relevant work experience. Qualifications Ability to follow and provide verbal and written direction in a group or individual environment. Familiarity in working on moving equipment (i.e. pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, etc.) A willingness to work in an environment when priorities and direction can change quickly. Basic computer skills Valid driver's license Must have the ability to work different shifts and overtime. This includes the possibility of short-term and long-term shift reassignment to match the needs of the business. Physical Requirements Requirements include: frequently stand and walk. Occasionally to sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms, climb stairs and ladders or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, talk, hear and smell. Exposed to hot and cold weather conditions. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust or focus.
