Structural Project Engineer or Structural Project Manager Structural Building Steel Fabrication and Erection Sacramento, CA Position: Structural Project Engineer or Structural Project Manager Location: Sacramento, CA Duration: Full-Time Permanent Dynamic Sacramento based vertical Structural Steel Fabrication and Building Skeleton Erection leader actively seeks skilled and experienced Structural Engineer to join our Sacramento office as a Structural Project Engineer or Structural Project Manager. The ideal and successful Structural Project Engineer or Structural Project Manager will be able to read and understand architectural and structural building drawings and have the ability to coordinate with the General Contractors on moving the project forward within the steel fabrication shop. As well as coordinating the on-site erection of the building structural steel skeleton ensuring that projects are completed in alignment with project deadlines. Structural Project Engineer or Structural Project Manager Qualifications and Experience Needed: Ideal candidates will have 4+ years of vertical building structural engineering experience preferable working for a structural engineering consulting firm or multidisciplinary architecture and engineering firm. Must have a bachelors or masters degree in Structural Engineer, Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering or closely related field. (But degree can be substituted with highly transferrable industry related structural steel engineering or construction experience.) Ideal candidates will have structural engineering experience pertaining to steel building structures. (Preferred) Current EIT/ FE certification or Professional Engineer Registration, PE is a plus (not required) Must have past work experience pertaining to vertical steel building structural engineering of commercial, education, healthcare, institutional, retail, or municipal/government building projects. Must be skilled in reading and interpreting structural engineering construction documents, plans, and shop drawings and the ability to provide structural construction administration to our structural steel skeleton erection team. Must be able provide Quality Control/Quality Assurance to structural engineering construction document, precision drawings, and details and have the ability to provide solutions to building skeleton assemble issues during structural steel erection. Must have great verbal and written communication skills Must have experience interacting and coordinating with project consultants and general contractors. Past work experience working for a Structural Steel Manufacturing or Fabrication company would be highly transferable ABOUT US: Structural Steel Fabricators Servicing Central and Northern California for over 60 years.
