is filled. Position Summary Information Primary Purpose The
University of the Pacific seeks an energetic, full-time Space
Rental Coordinator to re-design, market and coordinate the
university venue rental program. The Space Rental Coordinator will
report within the Business & Operations Division of the University
and is responsible for designing, planning, coordinating, and
overseeing the execution of all venue rentals at the university's
three campuses. Responsibilities include promotion, booking and
contract administration of rentals, management of rental staff,
vendor coordination, rental budget management and onsite
coordination of rentals as needed. Essential Functions
- Develop competitive venue rental packages which are marketed
and promoted to maximize net rental revenue.
- Responsible for achieving revenue and expense targets and
allocating space rental net revenue across the university as
directed.
- Responding to rental inquiries in a timely, effective, and
proactive manner.
- Scheduling and providing venue tours at all campuses.
- Following up with interested renters to book rentals.
- Renter and vendor contract and document administration.
- Providing one-on-one coordination meetings with renters prior
to their rental (varies according to rental package).
- Working with the Facility and Grounds Managers to ensure
facilities and grounds are in good condition and stocked with
necessary supplies.
- Coordinate with key university stakeholders as needed.
- Scheduling and managing rental staff as needed.
- Coordinating all required weekend logistics (including setup,
cleanup, security, etc.) and staffing, and communicating with all
weekend staff during weekend rentals.
- Maintaining relationships with vendors and clients and
coordinating as needed
- Coordinate to develop and manage an on-call system for
staff.
- Working with rental staff to ensure all contractual agreements
are met by both parties and that policies and procedures are
followed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned. University of the

Qualifications
- Associate Degree
- Two (2) years of professional venue rental and coordination
experience including vendor contract administration.
- One (1) year of experience supervising and managing rental
staff. Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Event Rental Professional ( CERP ) certification from
the American Rental Association ( ARA ) or equivalent
- Bachelor's Degree, preferably in a hospitality related
discipline.
- Sales-oriented with strong abilities to maximize net
revenue.
- Detail-oriented, proactive and can represent the University of
the Pacific in a friendly and enthusiastic manner.
- Ability to develop competitive rental venue packages.
- Ability to market and promote rental venues online and through
other media.
- Ability to develop and maintain strong client
relationships.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to accurately multitask under pressure with attention
to detail.
- Ability to independently problem solve.
- Experience and sensitivity in working with people of diverse
backgrounds and cultures.
- Demonstrated experience in advancing social justice, equity,
and inclusion in a university setting.
- Ability to engage and integrate culturally responsive practices
and knowledge in their work. Physical Requirements The physical
