Job Description:
The role of the Land Director is to develop, implement and
manage the risk to the Region's land acquisition strategy, ensuring
that the budget requirements of the Company are met.
You will build and develop ongoing strong relationships at all
levels with key individuals and groups of interested parties in the
land acquisition and planning process e.g. Land owners, land
agents, Council Chief Executives, Directors of Planning &
Regeneration, Local Communities, Ward Members, Local Objectors
etc.
You will need to provide and monitor land market activity on a
continuing basis and react to opportunities, whilst being a
proactive member of the Business Unit management team and
successfully managing staff involved in the land acquisition and
planning process. You will need to understand and respect the
principles and strategic objectives of the Taylor Wimpey Business
Strategy and ensure all team members (new and existing) are fully
aware of its contents.
