Human Resources Manager - Central Valley Region

Job Description:

Under the supervision of the Director of Employee Relations (DER), the Regional HR Manager (RHRM) is responsible for providing HR services for one or more regions at Aspire. As a support to both supervisors and teammates, RHRM serves as a key leader in the region by ensuring the following is implemented, but not limited to: compliance, mitigate/eliminate risk, maintain and enhance work cultural and atmosphere, assisting with policy development and interpretation, performance management, and ensuring the implementation of fair, consistent, and equitable practices throughout the region.What You Will Do:

  • Establish and successfully maintains relationships with the Area Superintendent, principals, and teammates within the region.
  • Successfully manage employee relations issues; conduct investigations and complete associated ER documentation using the appropriate protocols, sound judgment; and tracks issues through to resolution in a timely and thorough manner.
  • Supports employees with problems, issues or concerns. Serves as a liaison between employees and their managers and/or vice versa.
  • Coordinate with management to facilitate solutions to department/climate related problems. -
  • Ensure compliance with state/federal HR related regulations, as well as Aspire policies and procedures.
  • Implement org-wide initiatives within the region.
  • Facilitate and develop training for performance management and performing learning programs that also enable the understanding of policies, procedures, and systems assists with onboarding of teammates.
  • Partner with key leaders within the region to provide guidance, and recommendations as it pertains to staffing restructures/ status changes as well as personnel practices, policy and employment law.
  • Support supervisors with involuntary/voluntary terminations, review separation documents/ documentation prior to separation, conduct exit interviews prior to the employee departing the organization.
  • Strong knowledge and experience applying organizational HR policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Proactively use data, reviews patterns and trends, and proactively share findings with DER to develop and deliver on trainings that informs development of policies/ best practices.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of and support the Aspire Public Schools mission, vision, value statements, standards, policies and procedures, operating instructions, confidentiality standards, and the code of ethical behavior.
  • Lead and own Employee Relations projects within the region.
  • Establish strong working relationships within organizational teams and works closely with the People Team, including Employee Services, Payroll and Finance.
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS:
    Required Knowledge, skills and abilities
    • Positive, customer service oriented with strong communication, relationship building skills, and professional integrity
    • High attention to detail, organization and follow-up with a demonstrated ability to successfully handle multiple projects concurrently.
    • Knowledge of Federal and State labor laws, including FLSA and wage and hour.
    • Excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills; good judgment and resourceful
    • Proficient with MS Word, PowerPoint and technology skills
    • Confident public speaker
    • Ability to deal with highly sensitive information
    • Proactive, with can do attitude
      Minimal Education Level
      • Undergraduate degree with a concentration in Human Resources or related field with advanced degree preferred.
        Experience Required
        • Minimum 5+ years of broad HR knowledge and experience
        • 3 years direct Employee Relations experience
        • PHR or SPHR certification preferred, but not required
        • Experience or strong interest in K-12 public education
