JOB DETAILS FOR RN - REGISTERED NURSE CORRECTIONAL FACILITY:1. Provide direct and indirect nursing care to inmates / patients under the direction of the supervising registered nurse and correctional facility2. Collaborate with physicians and other health care providers; takes independent action within professional preparation and legal limits to maintain order3. Supervise the conduct of inmates / patients to protect and maintain the safety of persons and property4. Plan and implement nursing care including administration of medication, therapeutic agents, treatments, disease preventions and restorative measures ordered by a physician 5. Assists physicians with medical and / or minor surgical procedures6. Perform assessments and ongoing monitoring of inmate / patient physical and psychosocial status7. Evaluate effectiveness of nursing care and treatment regimen; collaborate with physicians and other health care providers8. Provide clinical supervision of other nursing staff to ensure quality patient care; document nursing care in medical records9. Ensure safety of inmates / patients by monitoring work areas for safety and cleanliness10. Administer first aid in emergencies LICENSURE CREDENTIALS REQUIRED FOR THE RN - REGISTERED NURSE:1. Valid California Registered Nurse – RN License2. 1 year of RN experience within the last 2 years3.
