Position Description: Biomedical Equipment Tech II
The Biomedical Equipment Technician will test and repair complex
medical equipment - A.A. and D.C. network analysis; electronic
circuits, systems, tubes and transistors and related math;
electronic test equipment; a wide range of complex medical
equipment normally found in an acute-care hospital; occupational
hazards and safety precautions; safety standards for electrical
apparatus; state electrical codes; related hospital licensing
regulations and accreditation standards.
Key Responsibilities:
--- Program, commission, and diagnose problems on various
pneumatic/electric/electronic control systems
--- Repairs and adjusts a variety of complex medical equipment;
utilizes schematic diagrams and test instruments to locate
malfunctions; develops and implements a preventative maintenance
program for medical equipment; assists in testing and evaluating
equipment prior to purchase.
--- Modifies and/or fabricates medical equipment to conform to new
specifications or requirements.
--- Performs equipment and circuit safety inspections; records
electrical measurement readings on equipment history files,
assuring compliance with hospital licensing regulations and
accreditation standards.
--- Assists in developing and providing in-service training
programs related to safe operation of medical equipment.
--- May train other technicians; may assign, train and review the
work of Biomedical Equipment Technician I's.
Requirements: Haynes is looking for candidates with 60-semester
units in an accredited college or university with a major in
electronics or related field or military experience in any
electronics MOS. They should be familiar with medical electronics
and have some level of hand on experience with the repairs of
such.
Position Details:
Locations: French Camp, CA
Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:00-4:00.
Salary: $27.85-$33.85/Hour
Travel: Service Techs are dispatched using Mobile Tech on their
company-provided laptops and phones. They are sent from their home
directly to the client sites (Denver Metro area) and try to send to
clients near their homes if at all possible. They will rarely go
into the office. No out-of-state or overnight travel.
Keys to a Successful Interview: Company is looking for experienced
medical repair technicians that have the ability to pass a drug and
background test. They will be working in a hospital and should
present themselves as professionals. Any electronics certification
that they have earned in the military or civilian sector should be
a point of emphasis, along with any experience they have working
with medical devices.
