ACT Spay / Neuter Clinic is one of the first nonprofit HQHVSN (High Quality, High Volume Spay and Neuter) Clinics in San Joaquin County dedicated to providing low-cost spay and neuter services to the local community and surrounding areas. Our friendly and compassionate staff treat all animals in our clinic as if they were their own pets. We seek a qualified Registered Veterinary Technician or a Veterinary Assistant who is passionate about providing high-quality spay and neuter veterinary care to dogs and cats in our community. Are you tired of working extra long days, night shifts, or every weekend? We are open Monday through Friday and only two Saturdays a month. Responsibilities for Registered Veterinary Technicians include but are not limited to: Assisting with Check In and Check Out of patients Discharging patients and going over discharge instructions Assisting with vaccinating patients during vaccine appointments Preparing patients for surgical procedures, administering sedation, assisting the veterinarian, administering fluids if necessary, and recovering and monitoring patients after anesthetic procedures Assisting vets with exams, reviewing home care instructions with caregiver/owner Assisting in the end-of-day tasks, cleaning and sterilizing surgical instruments, restocking supplies as needed, laundry, and prepping and cleaning cages, traps, and carriers as needed Responsibilities for Veterinary Assistants include but are not limited to: Assisting with Check In and Check Out of patients Discharging patients and going over discharge instructions Returning phone calls Assisting with the vaccination clinic Assisting vets with exams, reviewing home care instructions with caregiver/owner Assisting in the end-of-day tasks, cleaning and sterilizing surgical instruments, restocking supplies as needed, laundry, and prepping and cleaning cages, traps, and carriers as needed ACT Spay / Neuter Clinic RVT's and Veterinary Assistant team members enjoy: Registered Veterinary Technicians earn $24 hr- $28 hr based on experience and developed skillset Veterinary Assistants earn $20 - $24 hr based on experience and developed skillset Health Insurance (Full-Time Employees) Simple IRA - Employer Matching Contribution Plan Generous Paid Time Off- Vacation (Full-Time Employees) Flexible work schedule Personal pet(s) discounts.
