The Pharmacy Coordinator/Supervisor is responsible for the general
supervision of the delivery and documentation of pharmaceutical
care provided to patients using the medication use process
(selecting, prescribing, dispensing, administration and monitoring
of medicines). Responsible for scheduling, annual evaluations,
orientation, counseling, interviewing candidates, approval of time
cards, hiring and discipline of employees. Provides input on
budgetary considerations for their section at budgeting time.
This position will be supervise the IV Room
Principal duties and accountabilities:
- Responsible for the general supervision of the delivery and
documentation of pharmaceutical care provided to patients using the
medication use process (selecting, prescribing, dispensing,
administration and monitoring of medications).
- Responsible for day-to-day management of pharmacy staff
including scheduling, annual evaluations, orientation, counseling,
interviewing candidates, approval of time cards, hiring and
discipline of employees.
- Provide input on budgetary considerations for their section at
budget time. Monitors the income & expenses to compare with the
budget as documented by monthly reports.
- Provide input to the pharmacy leadership team on departmental,
operational, financial and human resources issues and
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy is required
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Pharmacist in an
acute care setting and/or completion of an ASHP-accredited
residency program Licensure:
- Registered Pharmacist license. Oversight for an acute care
facility requires licensure in the state in which you practice
- Advanced or Master's degree preferred (e.g., Pharm.D.)
- Experience with regulatory and quality compliance for a
