*COOK/DOUGH JOB DESCRIPTION*

*Reports to: *Chef

*Job Summary*

Cook/Dough Staff plans, prepares and cooks food items, and ensures our customers get a great culinary experience. All food must be made and prepared according to set standards and procedures of the Tugboats. Cook/Dough Staff are committed to keep the restaurant clean at all times while at the same time ensuring the highest levels of service possible while maintaining and exceeding objectives directed by the restaurant management.

*Key Responsibilities*

--- Ensures ingredients and final products are fresh.
--- Follows recipes, including measuring, weighing and mixing ingredients
--- Bakes, grills, steams and boils meats, vegetables and other foodstuffs as needed
--- Preps dough as needed per Chef
--- Communicates with the Chef in relation to issues with stocks and counter resources
--- Assists in timely storing of food deliveries
--- Maintain clean and sanitary conditions in assigned areas
--- Maintain food safety and sanitation standards per ServSafe guidelines

*Education, Certificates and Experience*

--- Must at least be a high school graduate
--- ServSafe Food Handler Certification

*Physical Requirements*

The Cook/Dough Staff position is a physically demanding position that requires the following:

--- Ability to occasionally stand, walk, crawl, climb, reach, bend, kneel, balance, stoop, or sit up for more than eight hours a day.
--- Use of hands to feel or reach objects and tools
--- Hearing and talking with a number of people during or most of the entire work shift
--- The use of varying vision abilities such as close vision, peripheral, depth and in adjusting focus.
--- Be able to lift and carry items of up to 25 pounds
--- Being able to tolerate temperature changes as well as immersion of one or both hands in water and cleaning substances
--- Being able to move around in the work area independently or without external help

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:
* Stockton, CA 95203: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
