Job Description:
Join Performance Foodservice, a leader in food distribution as
we enhance our team with efficient, safety-focused CDL A Drivers.
Drive routes covering various customer locations, delivering
indispensable food and food-related products directly impacting a
diverse clientele range, from cozy family-owned restaurants to
prominent nationwide chains. Beyond conventional driving
responsibilities, engage in managing delivery documents, ensuring
product safety during transport, and upholding the integrity of
customer relations through professional interactions. Safely
operate a tractor trailer to deliver goods to customers as per
scheduled routes. Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety
issues, perform preventative maintenance. Plan routes and meet
delivery schedules. Comply with truck driving rules and
regulations. Load, unload, prepare, inspect, and operate the
delivery vehicle. Collect and verify delivery instructions, handle
paperwork such as invoices and logs. Strong driving skills and
familiarity with DOT regulations. Good physical condition and
stamina to handle significant manual loading and unloading.
Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to
operate electronic equipment and software (e.g., GPS, AVL units,
CB). Communicative, with emphasis on customer service to maintain
positive client relationships. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance
Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid Class A Commercial
Driver’s License (CDL). Must meet all DOT requirements including
road test, physical exam and drug screening.
