a People Coordinator, you will support our mission-driven,
research-oriented organization. This role plays a key role in
supporting the day-to-day operations of the People Team. This
position ensures HR processes are executed accurately and on time
across onboarding, offboarding, compliance documentation, and
employee record management. Working closely with managers and
cross-functional partners, the People Coordinator helps maintain
organized systems, supports a positive employee experience, and
ensures established People Operations processes run smoothly and
efficiently. This role reports to the Manager, People Operations.
Responsibilities Maintain accurate and audit-ready employee records
and HR documentation across all systems (including HRIS), ensuring
compliance with I-9, immigration, and recordkeeping requirements.
Support compliance initiatives, including labor law postings,
policy updates, audits, reporting, and coordination with Facilities
to meet regulatory standards at HQ and Cambridge. Assist with
onboarding for employees, including orientation coordination, I-9
verification, system setup, compliant documentation, and benefits
enrollment. Manage contractor lifecycle processes, including
onboarding, offboarding, end-date monitoring and renewals.
Coordinate operational logistics such as IT and Facilities support
requests, meeting and event setup, lease-car arrangements, and
physical mail distribution. Maintain shared HR resources, guides,
documentation libraries, and the organizational chart to ensure
accuracy and accessibility. Support employee engagement
initiatives, company events, open enrollment, and wellness programs
while responding to employee inquiries via HR communication
channels. Partner with Payroll to ensure timely processing by
following up on outstanding timesheets and related documentation.
Contribute to cross-functional and ad hoc People Team projects as
needed. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources,
Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent
experience. 1–3 years of experience providing HR administrative
support. Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to
detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Working
knowledge of Google Workspace and Microsoft Office. Ability to
handle sensitive information with professionalism and maintain
confidentiality. Proven ability to manage multiple tasks with
accuracy and efficiency. Bonus Qualifications Experience navigating
and utilizing Workday systems is a plus. Knowledge of background
check review processes and employment screening procedures. The pay
range for this position at commencement of employment is expected
to be between $27.12 and $37.28/hour for California-based roles.
Base pay offered will depend on multiple individualized factors,
including, but not limited to, a candidate's experience, skills,
job-related knowledge, and market location. TRI offers a generous

sick time, and parental leave), and an annual cash bonus structure.
