Responsibilities


Job Summary:

The Cardiovascular Data and Quality Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and conducting data collection and submission, process and outcomes measurement and reporting , and performance improvement activities related to the cardiovascular disease/ procedure population. The Cardiovascular Data and Quality and Outcomes coordinator organizes and facilitates cardiovascular medical staff quality activities, assists with cardiovascular service line initiatives, and functions as communicator, coach and community advocate. The Cardiovascular Data and Quality Coordinator must possess strong clinical, critical thinking, organizational and communication skills, and must be able to work independently and effectively to meet multiple simultaneous demands.


Qualifications


Minimum Requirements:

  • Three (3) to five (5) years of cardiac / cardiovascular experience. Cardiac or cardiovascular critical care or cath lab preferred. May include emergency department, cardiac telemetry, or pre-post cardiac interventional / surgical.
  • Must be able to work independently and be self motivated, be able to function under deadlines, and maintain flexibility to meet diverse departmental work load and simultaneous demands.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access)
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a BSN
  • Current California RN license
  • Current BLS certification


Preferred:

  • MSN
  • Current ACLS certification
