**Responsibilities**

Join our team of professional and passionate health care professionals who are committed to the well-being of our patients and provide patient care based on competence, professional expertise, knowledge and evidence based practice.

Our **Staff Nurses** are critical to the success of St. Joseph's Medical Center and require the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Dignity Health. It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values.

**OPERATING ROOM/PRE-POST** Nursing positions: Assesses, patient/family health problems and resources, takes a leadership role in the development, implementation and outcomes evaluation of a plan for nursing care provided by the nursing team. Provides technical nursing care and interventions to designated patient populations. This position requires providng service to one or more age populations including an ill neonate through geriatric patient population in a manner that demonstrates an understandng of the functional/developmental age of the indivdual served. Responsible to plan, execute, and evaluate the nursing care given to patients in the Preoperative/Postoperative nursing role. Provides patient care within the prevailing state standards of practice and according to the policies of the facility. Communicates appropriate information to other team members. Helps maintain equipment, supplies, and general cleanliness of the unit. May have additional responsibilities designated by the manager, which may include but are not limited to providing patient care in other peri-operative departments, serving committees, participating in quality improvement projects.

**Qualifications**

**Minimum Qualifications:**

+ OR Circulator Requirements:Two years OR Circulator experience required within the last five years.

+ Graduate of an RN School of Nursing

+ Current California RN License

+ BLS, ACLS, PALS from the American Heart Association

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ Bachelor degree in health related field preferred

+ Computer literacy preferred
