**Overview**

**Responsibilities**
**$5,000 Sign-On Bonus offered for new hires with at least 6 months
of nursing experience within this specialty. Per policy, employees
are not eligible.**
**Job Summary:**
Assess and triage patients according to chief complaints. Assess
vitals signs, physical examination to determine patients'
classification for order of treatment. Works as a member of the
patient care team in conjunction with physicians, ancillary
departments and other staff members. Provides technical nursing
care and interventions to all patients presenting to Emergency
Department. This position requires providing service to a one or
more age populations including an ill neonate through geriatric
patient population in a manner that demonstrates an understanding
of the functional/developmental age of the individual served. This
position requires the full understanding and active participation
in fulfilling the Mission of the Organization. It is expected that
the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values.
The employee shall support the Organization's strategic plan and
the goals and direction of the Performance Improvement Plan
(PIP).

**Qualifications**
**Minimum Requirements:**
+ Graduate of an RN School of Nursing
+ Current California RN License
+ Current BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
**Preferred:**
+ Previous ED experience
+ National Certification in related specialty
+ Experience in an emergency services environment, to include one
or all of the following: preceptorship, internship, externship,
Paramedic or EMT
+ Computer literacy
+ Current TNCC certification
