Job Responsibilities: The Kraft Heinz Global Agriculture team is looking for a summer intern to assist in the Product Development work done by it's HeinzSeed business unit. This position will be responsible for a wide range of technical, manual, and administrative work. Candidates must be adaptable, willing to put in "sweat equity" and have an interest in the seed industry and how it forms the basis for the food and fiber supply-chain.

The successful candidate's responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: Assisting in the maintenance and evaluation of varietal trials throughout the state of California. Harvest, sampling, and delivery of tomatoes to laboratory locations. Participation in marketing efforts - customer events, media asset development (video, photography, social media and blog content), white space activations, etc.

Internship assignment: June 2022 - September 2022.

Skills/Qualifications: Actively enrolled in a college agricultural degree program Ability to work outdoor, under diverse environmental conditions Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to be insured and drive a company vehicle Desire to understand and participate in the varietal development process Good English speaking and writing capabilities, Spanish speaking-ability preferred Competencies include strong written and oral communication skills, problem solving, and innovation. Technical proficiencies in Microsoft Office Demonstrates ownership of projects and supports culture of meritocracy Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities without supervision, meet established deadlines and excel in a team environment. Superior analytical and problem-solving skills Must be able to deal with difficult situations tactfully and resolve conflicts effectively. Good English speaking and writing capabilities, Spanish speaking ability preferred. Analysis: correlation, root cause and effect.
