It's yours to build.The opportunity: your next adventure awaits.Tax - Business Tax Services - Quantitative Services (QS) - Vector Capitalization - Intern--EDGE stands for Exceptional Delivery and Growth Engine because this team operates in a technical environment with deep process and service delivery experience that distinguishes the EY organization in the marketplace.--As Quantitative Services (QS) Vector Capitalization Intern, you'll work with our team to develop and implement tax fixed asset solutions using a combination of both technology and tax technical skillsets while helping our clients design and implement solutions that enhance and streamline their tax fixed asset function. Our team members have backgrounds in both tax and information technology and are adept at leveraging technology solutions to help implement solutions and streamline client processes.-- Our team members work side-by-side with clients and subject matter professionals to develop and incorporate solutions that solve some of our client's most difficult tax fixed asset issues.--Your key responsibilities--

• Work on a variety of tax engagements, developing and incorporating technology solutions to address complex tax issues and support our client's tax function--
• Develop custom tools and workflows based upon evolving federal and state regulations--
• Develop client-specific applications to facilitate the collection and analysis of complex and large amounts of data--
• Work with clients' internal tax and IT departments to design and build appropriate technology solutions based on their unique business environment and reporting requirements--
• Gain experience working with commercial capitalization/depreciation systems, such as Sage Fixed Assets - Depreciation (FAS), BNA Fixed Assets, and fixed asset modules within Oracle and SAP (and numerous other systems)--What we look for--

    • A predicted undergraduate degree in Information Systems and/or a master's degree in Accounting, Tax Technology, Management Information Systems, or Computer Science or related field; supported by a strong academic record--
    • A demonstrable plan for passing the CPA exam, a US state Bar exam, or---other approved technical certification--
    • A strong interest in technology and its use in business processes--
    • Excellent communication and business writing skills--
    • A natural flair for problem solving and an entrepreneurial approach to work--
    • Strong organizational and time management skills, with exceptional client-serving consulting skills--
    • Demonstrated ability to capture and synthesize business requirements--
    • Desire to work within diverse teams and to develop leadership attributes--
    • Successful candidates will also have at least one of the following:--
    • Experience in one or more of the following: Alteryx, Microsoft Power BI suite (including Power Pivot, Power Query, Power View and Power Map), SQL Server, Microsoft Visual Basic, Visual Basic for Applications, MS Access----
    • Knowledge and experience in the design and development of databases (specifically SQL Server)--
    • Experience with developing ETL solutions using SSIS or other tools--
    • ERP experience, including SAP and/or Oracle--
    • Experience managing large, multidisciplinary projects that impact tax (e.g., ERP implementations, tax co-sourcing engagements, finance transformations)--
    • Practical or academic experience with commercial capitalization systems, such as Sage Fixed Assets - Depreciation, BNA Fixed Assets, and PowerPlan--
    • Practical or academic experience in standard process analysis tools, process mapping, and flow chart diagramming--
    • Practical or academic experience designing and developing databases--
    • Ability to quickly understand complex tax concepts and a strong interest in data modeling and analysis--What's in it for you----

The hourly pay range for this job, in the US, is $31.73 - $36.54. Individual salaries are based on education, geographic location, and alignment to the market data.
