Job Description:

Coastal Pacific Food Distributors (CPFD) has Full-Time, Traffic Administration/Clerk position open in the Stockton Distribution Center, Transportation Department. This role provides administration for all Shipping activities on an assigned shift in the Distribution Center. Works closely with Logistics, Shipping, and Receiving teams to coordinate and support warehousing and distribution functions. Salary Range $17 to $18 per hour Experience will also be considered.

Roles and Responsibilities:

* Makes Amazon appointments, schedule drivers for delivery and process delivery paperwork.
* Assist with Dollar General deliveries and scanning of documents.
* Monitor daily operations to identify areas for improvement. Review and identify causes of production variances and take immediate steps to resolve problems.
* Assists management in improving operations. Works closely with the work teams to identify areas for improvement, develops improved processes, and makes recommendations to management.
* Establish work priorities and approve recommendations. Takes every opportunity to establish and maintain teamwork between shipping teams.
* Coordinates shipping activities with logistics, scheduling, receiving and maintenance teams. Works closely with these departments to make adjustments in scheduling and staffing to meet member requirements.
* Ensures compliance with all company and government safety and sanitation requirements.
* Keeps management informed of progress and proposed changes in the operation.
* Create daily domestic and overseas dispatch schedules.
* Make backhaul appointments.

Job Requirements

Education: High School Graduate or GED required. In the absence of formal education, experience that is equivalent and directly related may be substituted.

Experience: One or more years related experience with a proven track record in warehouse and distribution center operations.

Knowledge: Requires experience with business software like MS Word, Excel and Access.

Skills and Abilities: Requires knowledge of all warehouse equipment and processes, warehouse management systems, refrigerated and/or grocery warehouse products. Requires a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both oral and writing, with all levels of management and staff. Good team building and facilitation skills, demonstrated by the performance of assigned teams, are also required.
