Job Description:
PURPOSE:The Inventory Control Supervisor is responsible for
overseeing the daily operations of the inventory control team
through reporting,audits coaching and inventory optimization. This
position will collaborate closely with Operations leadership to
meet inventorygoals. The Supervisor will address inventory
escalations with cross-functional teams including Procurement,
Customer Experience andvendors as needed.JOB
RESPONSIBILITIES:Oversees the inventory control daily operations
including inventory management, researching, and resolving
inventoryinquiries and processing adjustments as needed.Reviews and
processes financial adjustments to inventory as neededDevelop and
maintain slotting and capacity optimizationConduct routine audits
on cycle counters & inventory to ensure standard operating
procedures are followedReviews and actions inventory reporting
including but not limited to Dock/Trailer Report Review, MY529 NWXD
ExceptionReportManage outside storage processPerform non-warehouse
cross-dock researchCoaches and trains associates on inventory
processes including managing talent and performance.Partners with
local Operations leadership to meet inventory and service level
goalsPerforms other relevant job duties as required.JOB
REQUIREMENTS:Education/ Certifications: (Required/Preferred-list
requirement is required or preferred)High school diploma or GED
requiredBachelor's Degree in related field and/or equivalent work
experience preferredCapability of being licensed in operating
powered industrial equipmentExperience:3-5 years of relevant
inventory control experience or equivalent experience required3-5
years of warehouse experience requiredKnowledge:Strong knowledge of
warehouse operations including slotting system requiredProficient
with reporting methods related to tracking inventorySkills/
Abilities:Strong ability to analyze, interpret, and report
financial data.Strong communication skills; both written and oral
applicationsStrong interpersonal skills; must be motivated and take
initiative.Deal effectively with a wide variety of people both in
person and over the telephone.Ability to establish and maintain
effective working relationships with others.Ability to be detail
oriented and manage multiple tasks.PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT/
DEMANDS:Some travel may be requiredAbility to lift between 40-60
pounds daily and to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist and turn
frequently.Exposed to temperatures ranging from -20 degrees below
zero to 35 degrees Fahrenheit in Perishable Operation and 37degrees
to 90 degrees Fahrenheit in Grocery OperationAbility to do
repetitious arm, wrist and hand movements required for maintenance
and service procedures.Must be able to work with hands and arms
overhead, and to work in or under the equipment.Requires manual
dexterity, overall coordination and good balance to work both at
ground level and in high places to performjob duties. Ability to
operate work related equipmentSpecific vision abilities required by
this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision,
depth perception, and abilityto adjust focus.Moving about the
